Verona Area Natatorium
At Verona we were able to replace 5 36 inch filters with 2 National horizontal filters, The hair lint strainer for the circulation pump was also upgraded to a National strainer. An ETS ECO-FLO UV unit was installed to help reduce the amount of combined chlorine in the water as well as provide additional disinfection. The existing Pulsar III chlorinating system and System 5 controller remained.
West Suburban YMCA
West Suburban YMCA had 5 filters on the large pool that required frequent backwashing sometimes as much as twice per week. This process was needed to keep the flow rate and filter pressures within range. By removing those filters and installing 2 National Horizontal Filters they are now able to go up to 2 weeks between backwash thus saving water and making the operation run more efficient. The small pool and whirlpool were also updated using Triton commercial series filters.
Fond Du Lac Aquatic Center Small Pool
Fond Du Lac Aquatic Center had been using steel filters with automatic backwash. Over time the filter had begun to leak sand and the automatic backwash was not always working properly. We were able to replace with a fiberglass horizontal filter with a single lever manual backwash, during the installation we were able to install a fiberglass strainer and move the circulation pump back to allow for more straight pipe to cavitation on the pump impeller.
